As convenient Cartomizers are, they come with their own challenges. We are seeing a number of vendors coming up with new solutions to these annoyances. Some of the downfalls are such that when you’re using a traditional cartomizer, you’ll manage to taste the pollyfill even if you have your Cartomizer wet. Another issue that arises is that you never know how full your Cartomizer is so it makes it difficult to gauge when the cartomizer need to be filled again. With the older Cartomizers the only way to know if that when it’s time to refill is when you get that nasty taste.
Vendors and manufacturers such as Royal Smoker have acknowledged these issues and have addressed them with the new generation of Cartomizers. The new generation of Cartomizers are named Clearomizers or are also referred to as Fluxomizers due to the innovative way they use to get the juice to the atomizer. If you take a look at the Royal Smoker CE2 version 5 you will notice it looks like a double helix wick that reminds you of an oil lamp or candle. With-out the filler you’re getting a purer, cleaner flavor out of your juices. They are clear so you can see how much juice you have in them and you’re able to refill them before they become dry.
I want to note that not all Fluxomizers are clear; however the Royal Smoker CE2 version 5 we used is in fact clear. The Royal Smoker CE2 Version 5 510 Clearomizer comes in both the XL or Standard Size. These great Clearomizers need to be filled using a filling syringe kit. When you get yours you’re going to find a CE2 Version 5, 510 threaded Catromizer rated at 2.6-2.8 ogm, instruction card for filling, a plastic filling tip and a black rubber mouth piece. Each Clearomizer is going to hold 2ml of e-liquid.
This is a major step forward to Cartomizer technology. If you have been partial to Cartomizers, then you should give a Clearomizer / Fluxomizer a chance. We prefer the Royal Smoker E2 Version 5.
